Bendex stepped into his first yoga class in 2013 and realized that he had struck something special; something that he didn’t even know he was looking for. Moving forward he has held a special place for the practice and appreciation toward taking time for oneself. As a believer of movement, Bendex takes this concept wherever he goes. The travels and interactions of exploring edges motivates his appetite for living life to the fullest. Having had his formative years in the midwest and then moving to Arkansas after completing graduate school he found a community that spoke true to his beliefs. Slowing down, admiring the surrounding view, and caring for others in ways that incorporate patience. Listening to others and understanding their stories has been a passion that he has come to realize. Connecting in ways that feel wanted and needed encourage him to spread joy through philosophy. After 7 years of exploring the Ozark National Forest and serving as a Director of Outdoor Recreational Programs for a small intimate liberal arts college he was able to complete a 200 hour YTT in 2021. He accredits his yoga community in Clarksville, Arkansas and the many supporters of his life to stay true to himself. Bendex is excited to be a part of the Down Under Community and transition his life from the southern region to the northeast. Making time for himself and others is one of his highest priorities. When Bendex isn’t practicing you’ll find him outside riding his bike, rock climbing, or trying out new activities that will explore edges that might not have been known before.
