In the fall of 2013, I decided that it was time to start taking better care of myself. Yoga is intriguing to me so in January 2014 I entered my first yoga class. I could not explain the way I felt after that first class. Over the next several months, I started attending more classes and discovering different styles. I practiced with several instructors at the Integrated School of Yoga. It seemed natural to take my 200-hour training with one of those instructors. I started teaching right out of YTT. I got an opportunity to work for Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation. I love being able to go to different facilities all around the valley. I love meeting and talking with the people. I put a small studio in my basement and started teaching private lessons. In 2018 HR representatives at my place of employment asked about teaching a lunch hour class. This quickly expanded to twice a week. My focus is growing my practice and helping others anyway, I can.
