As a native of Charleston, I’m pretty sure I have saltwater running through my veins. I crave sunshine and enjoy being outside as much as I can. Growing up, weekends were spent at Folly Beach or Palmetto Islands County Park. I graduated from Trident Technical College’s Hospitality and Tourism Management program in 2004 eager to share Charleston’s charm with guests at local bed & breakfasts in the heart of downtown. Besides my yoga mat, Folly Beach is still my favorite place to be. When I’m not being the local beach bum, I love wandering around downtown with my camera, paddleboarding or catching live music around town with friends. On a whim a friend invited me to a yoga class 11 years ago and I have been going ever since. I received my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha/Vinyasa with Authentic Movements in February 2023 after a desire to learn more about the practice that completely shifted my life. I fell in love with yin yoga about 6 years ago after a health scare really made me slow down and tune into to what my body needed instead of what I thought I should be doing. I have a deep appreciation for the space it provides and how it challenges me to stay present and dropped into the messages from the body over the chatter of the mind. I can’t wait to share my love of yin and restorative classes with you soon
